Meet Alek Nicin

Colocation Cache founder Alek Nicin is a telecom services and equipment expert, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience to his business ventures. He believes in the power of respect, treating his customers with the same level of compassion and integrity that he expects from others. Since founding Colocation Cache in July of 2016, he has strived to make each day better and more successful than the last.

A native of Serbia, Alek's unique life experiences provide a testament to what he is able to accomplish. He immigrated to the United States prior to attending college on a tennis scholarship but made the decision to stay in order to pursue the American Dream. Since making the decision to put down roots, he has built a life in beautiful Central Florida. The adjustment was a challenge, but Alek persevered, working part-time jobs as a tennis pro, bartender, and even facilities support staff while carving his own path.

Professionally, Alek has spent the bulk of his career in the telecom industry with experience dating back to 2006. After completing both a BBA and MBA with a specialization in International Business from Stetson University in DeLand, FL, he worked in the manufacturing and marketing of laser optics for three years. He then moved on to serve as a sales manager for a local solar manufacturer, distributing solar power generators and outdoor battery backups for wireless radios, outdoor camera surveillance, and remote monitoring systems.

Alek made the strategic decision to start Colocation Cache to fulfill a niche need for high-value equipment at low costs to telecom operators around the world. Above all else, he wants Colocation Cache to be a successful business focused on growth, utilizing a unique combination of product knowledge, cost savings, and environmentally-friendly solutions to surpass customer expectations with every purchase or sale.

Alek also comes from a strong athletic background, and his competitive nature shows both on the field and in the office. He sees value in being the very best, and consistently works to improve himself, both personally and professionally. A regular CrossFitter and occasional yoga practitioner with his wife Lisa, Alek has an impressive resume of physical accomplishments in addition to his business success, including:

•    Over 20 sprint and Olympic triathlons
•    One marathon and two half-marathons
•    Off-road biking, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking challenges
•    Competitive tennis player in both the U.S. and Serbia

Meet Hunter

Hunter is a rescue dog and Chief Security Officer at Colo Cache. Hunter has retired from running at 9 years old but holds an impressive resume of accomplishments including 10K off-road run, half-marathon, full marathon as well as chasing countless birds and critters off the property.
